We hope that the flexibility of our new “Pantry of Choice” hours helps us to serve you better. You may come to shop in the food pantry once per week at any time during open hours. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines)! Food will no longer be distributed outside.

• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week

The Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is excited to announce that registration for the 2022 Back to School PBC! is now OPEN! As in the past, registration is by invitation only,
and eligible students must register at www.backtoschoolpbc.org before Sunday, May 15, 2022 to be able to participate in the event, which will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022. To be eligible to register, students must reside in one of our designated neighborhoods or in any mobile home park in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

FAU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities is leading an initiative to create awareness among the community, educators, and health care providers about the problem of under-representation of Black people in Autism. Research indicates that Black children are being misidentified, delay identified and under-identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Robin Jones, Outreach Specialist with FAU CARD, would love to present this initiative to schools, private organizations, faith-based organizations, community agencies, and/or special interest groups.

Health Care District's Clinics Offer Patients Free Grab-and-Go Narcan to Save Lives from an Overdose
To combat the rising number of overdose deaths this year in Palm Beach County, the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics are offering free canisters of Narcan nasal spray without a prescription to adult patients at its network of clinics countywide. Patients and their families no longer need to ask for Narcan; they can grab it and take it on the go. The nasal spray is safe, easy to administer and has no side effects.

The new Florida Veterans Benefits Guides are now available. Copies have shipped to a
supply the County Veteran Service Officers and District Directors around the state. The guide is provided by the Florida Veterans Foundation. The guide can also viewed online.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
