FREE FOOD for Anyone in Need at The Glades Initiative
The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
- 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

Pahokee Christmas Parade
Pahokee's annual Christmas parade is returning - drumlines, floats, and more! The Christmas Parade will be held on Monday, 4th December 2023 at 6:00 pm. The parade line-up will begin at 4:00 pm on Larrimore Road (in front of the Anquan Boldin Stadium) and the parade will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.
"We are asking the entire community to participate in this year’s parade, churches, schools, nonprofits, all businesses, fraternities, sororities, farmers, retail, etc., so get in the Holiday Spirit and enter your floats, decorated cars & and trucks, walkers, sports organizations, etc."

Glades Fitness at Glades Pioneer Park
This community-based physical activity is a fun, energetic class, with a combination of short resistance and endurance training bursts, followed by recovery periods to give you the ultimate total body workout. Palm Beach County’s Department of Housing and Economic Development (HED) announces the availability of State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Purchase Assistance Program funds. Funding will provide up to $100,000 to assist income-eligible applicants with acquiring their first home (including acquisition, acquisition/rehabilitation, new construction, down payment, and closing costs) that will be used as their principal place of residence.

Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies December 2023 Educational Calendar
Educational classes and support groups are for pregnant women and new families. Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free hands-on education programs for parents and support partners. The class instructors are community partners or certified Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies staff.

Youth Services Department Opens 2024 Summer Camp Scholarship Program Provider Applications
The Summer Camp Scholarship Program Provider for summer 2024 is now open for applications until January 5, 2024. The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full tuition and fees for summer camp for children residing in families with income at or below 185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Fees are paid directly to the camps that enroll the children with scholarships. The scholarship program is funded by the Board of County Commissioners and the Children’s Services Council. Providers can submit an application to the Palm Beach County Youth Services Department to join the approved list of summer camp providers for summer 2024.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.
