The third and final Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation public hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2016 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center. At this meeting all local bills that have been submitted for consideration will be heard by the Delegation and voted on.

FREE Neighborhood Revitalization Course

Palm Beach County's Office of Community Revitalization will offer a five-week, hands-on educational program providing community revitalization and civic leadership development.

The Residential Education to Action Program (REAP) will take place in Belle Glade. The course and all materials are FREE but a commitment for the entire five-week course is required. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Trustbridge Hospice is Looking for Volunteers

Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice (you may know us as Hospice of Palm Beach County) has been caring for our community. Our compassionate professionals provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to families facing serious illness.

We are looking for caring individuals to become hospice volunteers to visit with patients and families in the Glades area during their time of greatest need.  Whatever your interests or skills, you can have a meaningful impact on the lives of others. We provide training in Belle Glade!

(Home Affordable Modification Program)

HAMP is a loan modification program designed to reduce delinquent and at-risk borrowers' monthly mortgage payments. HAMP is effective for mortgages originated on or prior to January 1, 2009, and will expire on December 31, 2016.

The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the Urban League of Palm Beach County, Inc. have joined forces to provide attorneys and loan counselors to help you complete your modification application and answer any questions you have about home retention and HAMP programs at a FREE event at the Urban League office.

STEAM 2017: A Conversation with PITBULL

On February 1st, the Palm Beach State College Foundation welcomes PITBULL (Armando Christian Perez) as the keynote speaker for the Foundation's 2017 STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) luncheon presented by Bank of America. PITBULL, who is first generation Cuban American is a Grammy award winning music icon and global entrepreneur. He will discuss his life story and the importance of education, which he is passionate about, and the relationship between music, math and science.Net proceeds support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) programs and student scholarships. Help prepare students for high tech, high demand careers to fulfill the workforce needs of local companies.
