Deadline to Register to Vote for March 11, 2025 Pahokee Election


Twelve municipalities in Palm Beach County, including Pahokee, will conduct elections on Tuesday, March 11. Early voting will not be available, but Vote-By-Mail ballots will be sent to voters who pre-register for a mail-in ballot. If any runoff elections are needed, they will be held Tuesday, March 25.  Click here to register to vote. Click here for the sample ballot.

Application Assistance Available at Belle Glade Library for the Summer Camp Scholarship Program


The Summer Camp Scholarship program allows parents to choose from participating 

camps located throughout the county that meet their child’s needs and interests. They offer eligible children, ages 5 - 17, a full scholarship to day camp between June 2 to August 8, 2025. Palm Beach County Disparity Study - Public Input Session


Public Input Sessions Palm Beach County has contracted with Griffin & Strong (G&S) to conduct a Disparity Study to determine if willing and able minority- and women-owned businesses are significantly underutilized in construction, professional services, and goods and services contracts awarded by the County and if so, the extent to which such disparities may be attributed to discrimination. Palm Beach County invites local business owners and community members to attend a Public Input Sessions to share their experiences doing business or their attempts to do business with the County. This event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is recommended but not required.

Carbonell Awards Extends Deadline to Feb 17 to Apply for Jack Zink Memorial Scholarship 2025


The selection of scholarship recipients is based on talent, experience and demonstrated commitment to theater and/or journalism, with one winner from each of the three area counties (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach) receiving a $2,000 scholarship. A student’s mentor (director/teacher/guidance counselor who has first-hand knowledge and experience with the student) must nominate the student to be considered for the scholarship.

Health Insurance Special Enrollment is NOW


A Special Enrollment Period (SEP) is a time outside of the yearly Open Enrollment Period when a consumer can sign up for health insurance. Consumers qualify for a SEP if they have qualifying life events, including losing Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or other health coverage, moving, getting married, divorce, having a baby, or adopting a child. Depending on the SEP type, individuals may have 60 days before or 60 days after the event to enroll into a health plan. Visit Healthcare.gov to see additional SEP qualifiers.

Mandatory Pre-Application Conference for OCR's FY-2026 NEAT Grants Program on March 6, 2025


Potential applicants must attend a mandatory preapplication conference on Tuesday, March 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Confirmation of attendance must be received no later than March 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.


Palm Beach County’s Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grants program. NEAT provides grants of up to $10,000 to neighborhood-based groups and/or organizations for resident-driven neighborhood improvement projects proposed within designated Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) areas and the Glades region, including the municipalities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee.

University of Miami Sleep Study "DORMIR" - Rural Recruitment


The DORMIR study aims to understand the relationship between sleep and heart health in Latino/as living in rural and urban communities in Florida. Over a 7-day home-study, using the best digital devices, our participants learn about how their behaviors, health, thoughts, and environment affect their sleep and heart health. Participants can earn up to $150 for participating in this study and help contribute to the information about heart disease among the Latin population.

This dashboard provides public health officials, community organizations, and policymakers with actionable information to effectively respond to the ongoing overdose crisis. It features detailed breakdowns by region, demographics, substance types, and trends over time, allowing community partners to identify hotspots and allocate resources strategically.


The dashboard was developed with funding from the CDC’s Overdose Data to Action grant. It combines advanced data analytics with a user-friendly design to ensure accessibility for the public.

Interested in Becoming a Summer BreakSpot Site?


Children who depend on school meals during the year often miss out on these free, nutritious meals during the summer months. Your support as a Summer BreakSpot (SBS) site can help close that gap this summer.


Are you interested in becoming a SBS site? If your organization already provides services to the community and has capable staff and experience in managing a food service program, you may be a good fit. Meals are reimbursable through the Summer BreakSpot Program. All new community partners should be prepared to complete training in February.

Healthier Glades to Host Chair Yoga Sessions at BRIDGES Belle Glade

Registration Now Open for WTEC's Security License Training Program!


West Tech will provide 40-Hour Class “D” Security License training. Classes are led by a state approved trainer and certifying agency. Program will start March 3rd, and students will meet Monday-Thursday from 5 pm-9 pm. 32 FULL Scholarships will be awarded--first come, first serve. Valid ID and proof of residence required for registration.
