The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).

Taxes Filed Free Program through United Way of PBC
United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide free, confidential, and secure preparation and efiling of tax returns to qualified taxpayers. To qualify, taxpayer’s income must have been $70,000 or less in 2022. You may be eligible for up to $6,935 in Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC). Taxes Filed Free service gives you two options to choose from to e-file your tax return. All options are supported by IRS-Certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers.

Summer Camp Scholarship Program for PBC Residents
The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full-tuition and fees for summer camp for children residing in families with income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. It allows parents to work with the knowledge that their children are safe. It gives children educational and recreational opportunities for growth. Parents may choose from participating camps in Palm Beach County.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

EveryParent - Summer Camp Scholarships now Available for PBC Children
Did you know that every summer more than 3,000 Palm Beach County children receive scholarships to attend camp? Do you have a child or do you know a child who would benefit from summer camp? Now is the time to apply for the scholarships that are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to families who might be eligible. The scholarships are funded by Palm Beach County Youth Services and Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County. The scholarships cover ALL fees at dozens of summer camps throughout Palm Beach County.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
