Palm Beach County Youth Services Department Accepting Notice of Funding Opportunity Applications
The Palm Beach County Youth Services Department (YSD) is accepting proposals from community-based agencies for fiscal years (FY) 2026-2028 (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2028). Contracts issued will be for one (1) three-year period. Proposers must clearly identify how their service/program(s) will address a specific action area identified in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) Information Guidance for Community-Based Agencies (CBA) FY2026. Proposers may submit an application for funding for more than one program. The action areas eligible for funding this cycle are Health & Wellness Supports, Ensure Safety & Justice, and Skills for Learning and Life. The deadline to submit

Operation Green Light puts the brakes on collection agency fees to help drivers with unpaid traffic tickets and overdue court fines get back on the road.
For one week only, we will waive all collection agency fees for anyone who pays their overdue fines in full or sets up a payment plan, giving people whose driver licenses have been suspended because of unpaid fines the opportunity to save money and restore their driving privileges.

Potential applicants must attend a mandatory preapplication conference on Tuesday, March 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Confirmation of attendance must be received no later than March 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Palm Beach County’s Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grants program. NEAT provides grants of up to $10,000 to neighborhood-based groups and/or organizations for resident-driven neighborhood improvement projects proposed within designated Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) areas and the Glades region, including the municipalities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee. Help Amplify Actions to Combat Child Hunger in Florida
From SPLC: "About 2 million students in Florida depend on school meals, but many families struggle to access summer meal programs. To combat child hunger, Florida must approve $10 million in matching funds for the Summer EBT program in 2026, which would provide $259 million in total federal assistance. That is why we must urge our lawmakers to act in support of this program."

We have Migrant and Seasonal programs that serve infants and toddlers, including those with special needs. United Way of Palm Beach County’s VITA Program partners with the Palm Beach County Library System to offer free and confidential tax preparation and e-filing for eligible taxpayers. If your income was $76,000 or less in 2024, you may qualify for this service and could be eligible for up to $7,830 in Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). To participate, bring your 2023 tax return, Social Security card, W-2 wage and tax statements for 2024, Form 1098 if applicable, Form 1099 if appropriate, and Bank account and routing numbers. If you are filing jointly, both filers must be present.

Health Insurance Special Enrollment is NOW
A Special Enrollment Period (SEP) is a time outside of the yearly Open Enrollment Period when a consumer can sign up for health insurance. Consumers qualify for a SEP if they have qualifying life events, including losing Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or other health coverage, moving, getting married, divorce, having a baby, or adopting a child. Depending on the SEP type, individuals may have 60 days before or 60 days after the event to enroll into a health plan. Visit Healthcare.gov to see additional SEP qualifiers.
