The Glades Initiative Food Pantry of Choice Hours
We hope that the flexibility of our new “Pantry of Choice” hours helps us to serve you better. You may come to shop in the food pantry once per week at any time during open hours. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines)! Food will no longer be distributed outside.

Creating Awareness about the Problems of Under-representation of Black People in Autism
FAU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities is leading an initiative to create awareness among the community, educators, and health care providers about the problem of under-representation of Black people in Autism. Research indicates that Black children are being misidentified, delay identified and under-identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Robin Jones, Outreach Specialist with FAU CARD, would love to present this initiative to schools, private organizations, faith-based organizations, community agencies, and/or special interest groups.

If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.

Health Care District's Clinics to Provide Patients Access to COVID-19 Antiviral Pills
The Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s network of ten C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics has a new tool in the fight against COVID-19. Starting Monday, February 14th, clinic providers will be able to prescribe two types of COVID-19 oral antiviral pills, Pfizer's Paxlovid and Merck's molnupiravir, at no cost for patients who are at the highest risk of developing severe COVID-19 illness.

Applications Accepted for OCR's FY2023 NEAT Grant
Palm Beach County’s Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grants program. It provides grants of up to $10,000 to neighborhood based groups and/or organizations for resident-driven neighborhood improvement projects proposed within unincorporated Palm Beach County and the Lake Region municipalities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee. Priority funding will be given to projects proposed in designated Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) areas.

No-cost mental health and substance use counseling, medication, and services for low-income families and individuals needing help as a result of the pandemic are available through IMPOWER, a Florida non-profit organization.
