The Glades Initiative presents Money Matters Financial Literacy Training in Haitian Creole. Understand how to manage money by preparing a personal spending plan and identify ways to decrease spending and increase income, start a checking account, learn about homeownership, and more.

Mental Health First Aid - FREE Training
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches how to help people experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. By recognizing signs of mental health distress and knowing how to communicate with individuals experiencing these scary moments, we can be part of an immensely impactful early intervention effort, increasing the chances of people to get the help they need as soon as possible.

From PBSC: Palm Beach State College will be starting an evening Nails Technician class on our Belle Glade campus on April 1st. S
tudents will be prepared for employment as a registered nail specialist. Student will gain competencies in manicuring, pedicuring and in applying artificial nails and nail wraps. Prospective students may apply to the Farmworker Career Development Program for financial assistance.

VITA Sites Open in the Glades - File for Free!
United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to bring free tax preparation service to those in our community with an annual household income of $66,000 or less in 2018 and focus on those who may be eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) of up to $6,431.
