The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week

Free Parenting Support Groups
Parenting support groups provide a safe space for parents and caregivers to freely share their experiences, challenges, and strengths in a confidential group setting. Parents will learn about the importance of attitude and acceptance to strengthen the parent-child relationship, child development, and parenting techniques such as reflective listening,
encouragement, limit setting, and choices to manage children’s emotional, and behavioral difficulties.

Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies February 2023 Educational Calendar

Summer Camp Scholarship Program for PBC Residents
The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full-tuition and fees for summer camp for children residing in families with income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. It allows parents to work with the knowledge that their children are safe. It gives children educational and recreational opportunities for growth. Parents may choose from participating camps in Palm Beach County.

Taxes Filed Free Program
United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide free, confidential, and secure preparation and efiling of tax returns to qualified taxpayers. To qualify, taxpayer’s income must have been $70,000 or less in 2022. You may be eligible for up to $6,935 in Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC). Taxes Filed Free service gives you two options to choose from to e-file your tax return. All options are supported by IRS-Certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

TD Charitable Foundation will Award $7 Million to Housing Nonprofits Helping Renters in Need
TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, today announced the launch of its 17th Annual Housing for Everyone grant competition. This year, the competition will focus on organizations delivering rental assistance, rehabilitating affordable housing properties, and building organizational capacity to address resident sustainability for the long-term. The Foundation will award a total of $7 million to 37 non-profit organizations across 17 states and Washington, D.C.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
