West Tech will provide 40-Hour Class “D” Security License training. Classes are led by a state approved trainer and certifying agency. Palm Beach County Disparity Study - Public Input Session
Public Input Sessions Palm Beach County has contracted with Griffin & Strong (G&S) to conduct a Disparity Study to determine if willing and able minority- and women-owned businesses are significantly underutilized in construction, professional services, and goods and services contracts awarded by the County and if so, the extent to which such disparities may be attributed to discrimination. Are you interested in becoming a SBS site? If your organization already provides services to the community and has capable staff and experience in managing a food service program, you may be a good fit. Meals are reimbursable through the Summer BreakSpot Program. All new community partners should be prepared to complete training in February.

This dashboard provides public health officials, community organizations, and policymakers with actionable information to effectively respond to the ongoing overdose crisis. It features detailed breakdowns by region, demographics, substance types, and trends over time, allowing community partners to identify hotspots and allocate resources strategically.
The dashboard was developed with funding from the CDC’s Overdose Data to Action grant. It combines advanced data analytics with a user-friendly design to ensure accessibility for the public.

Homeless and Housing Alliance of Palm Beach County Presents: Homeless Point in Time Count
Volunteer registration is now open for the annual 2025 Point in Time Count! There will be three mandatory in-person trainings to choose from, on Friday, January 24 there will be two sessions to choose from: 9:00 am to 11:30 am and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The trainings will take place at the Hagen Ranch Library- 14350 Hagen Ranch Rd, Delray Beach. Additionally, on January 28, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. It is very important that you attend this training even if you have participated in past PIT counts. We want to make sure that if there is any problem with your device we are able to identify it there before you are in the field.

United Way of Palm Beach County’s VITA Program partners with the Palm Beach County Library System to offer free and confidential tax preparation and e-filing for eligible taxpayers. If your income was $76,000 or less in 2024, you may qualify for this service and could be eligible for up to $7,830 in Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). To participate, bring your 2023 tax return, Social Security card, W-2 wage and tax statements for 2024, Form 1098 if applicable, Form 1099 if appropriate, and Bank account and routing numbers. If you are filing jointly, both filers must be present.

PBC BCC Unanimously Approves $10 Million for Health Care District's Crisis Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted to approve $10 million in federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to support the development of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s state-of-the-art Crisis Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse. This marks the first step in the development process of this critical facility.

OCR Presents: Back to School PBC! Registration is OPEN

Palm Beach County's Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Initiative is providing
supplemental rent and food assistance to people with HIV through Feb. 28, 2025.
Available services include up to three months of rental assistance, and two food boxes
valued at $150.
