Glades PATCH Meeting PATCH

The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. The meeting is open to all who wish to join.

Belle Glade Fastbreak League Registration

The City of Belle Glade invites residents to sign up their children for its upcoming basketball league. It is also looking for volunteer coaches - background checks required. Taxes Filed Free Campaign

United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to bring free tax preparation service to those in our community with an annual household income of $66,000 or less in 2018 and focus on those who may be eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) of up to $6,431. VITA sites will open on Monday, January 28, 2019.

Legal Aid Offers Online Intake

The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County is pleased to announce the recent launch of its new online intake application system that enables anyone with an internet connection to apply for free legal assistance. The application is available in English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole and can be filled out by an individual, by a family member or friend of the individual, or by a social service/government agency staff member who is assisting the individual.

Government Shutdown Affects SCORE


The Small Business Administration administers a Congressional grant which provides SCORE with funding.  Therefore, due to the government shutdown, SCORE offices are closed. We will not be able to provide mentoring services or conduct workshops until the government officially reopens.
