Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents (ages 12-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Belle Glade Basketball and Cheer - Register Now
The City of Belle Glade invites residents to sign up their children for its upcoming basketball league. It is looking for volunteer coaches, as well, background checks required. Lakeside Raises Funds in Honor of Sandra Chamblee
From Lakeside Medical Center: "The Komen Race for the Cure has special meaning for us this year. We are dedicating our team in memory of our dear friend and LMC Board member,
Sandra Chamblee.
Sandra beat breast cancer twice in recent years, driving herself to radiation treatments, determined to win the fight. She was the first to call several LMC employees when they received their breast cancer diagnosis helping and encouraging them to fight.
So now, we fight in her memory."

Volunteers Needed - PBC Point-in-Time Count
The Division of Human and Veteran Services is conducting its Point-In-Time Count from January 24 to January 25 with the goal to identify all of the individuals and families who are facing homelessness in Palm Beach County. This information will provide vital information to use when obtaining funding to support programs in the County. Multiple times and locations are available.

The Summer Camp Scholarship Program provides full-tuition and fees for summer camp for children residing in families with income at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines. It gives children educational and recreational opportunities for growth. Parents may choose from participating camps in Palm Beach County.

Taxes Filed Free Campaign
United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to bring free tax preparation service to those in our community with an annual household income of $66,000 or less in 2018 and focus on those who may be eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) of up to $6,431. VITA sites will open on Monday, January 28, 2019.
