Glades PATCH Meeting - Open to All
The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include the social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. Scholarship: Florida's Agriculture History Award
Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried has announced the inaugural Agriculture History Award competition. This competition allows for students in grades 4-12, who are enrolled in a Florida public (including charter) or private school to write a 500-word or less essay highlighting a notable woman, African-American, or individual of Latin heritage who has greatly impacted the agricultural industry through an accomplishment or invention and correlate how the individual's contribution has also specifically impacted Florida's agriculture industry.
