Farm and Food Worker Relief Program
PBC Community Action in partnership with Coalition of Florida Farmworker Organization, Inc. is assisting in providing this one time $600 payment from the USDA to eligible farmworkers. The relief is intended to defray costs for reasonable and necessary personal, family or living expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. These payment will be available to eligible farm and food workers who performed work in farming activities and meatpacking during the period 1/27/2020 – 05/9/2023. Workers will need to provide sufficient proof of employment during the period and also identity when applying.

Take Action Against Child Trafficking: World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
Did you know? One out of every three people impacted by human trafficking globally
is a child. Every year on July 30th, we observe World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (WDATIP) to raise awareness and fight for the rights of victims. Palm Beach County Faces a Real Problem: Palm Beach County has a troubling history of human trafficking cases involving minors. Florida ranks #3 nationally for suspected cases, and in 2023 alone, the Palm Beach County Task Force identified 76 new cases, supporting over 90 victims. Even more concerning, child exploitation is rising. The Department of Children and Families documented 93 reports involving minors, confirming 27 victims of sex and labor trafficking.

This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. These remarkable young people received a national platform today on the TODAY Show with Maria Shriver, marking a crucial step towards greater recognition and support for Caregiving Youth. The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) and Kesem, a leading organization for children of cancer patients, teamed up for this appearance.

Glades/Lake Region, The Truth About the Youth Teen Summit will be held August 2-4 for youth in grades 6th-12th!
