The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Community ID of The Palm Beaches
The Community ID of the Palm Beaches is for ANY resident who may have limited access to government issued forms of identification, and for those who support a diverse and inclusive community.
It is not a government issued form of ID or a driver’s license, but it is a verifiable form of identification that says you are a part of our community. It can be used within your community to gain access to essential services and as a tool to better identify, serve, and protect you.

Free Family Weekend Meal Kits
Send your kid to school on Monday ready to learn! Kits include healthy, easy-to-prepare
food for kid-friendly meals. Kit may include items like: shelf stable pasta, chicken, rice,
tuna, oatmeal, granola bars and more! Each child ages 17 and younger can receive a free
meal kit once a week while supplies last. Pick up at the children's area every Friday.

Farm and Food Worker Relief Program
PBC Community Action in partnership with Coalition of Florida Farmworker Organization, Inc. is assisting in providing this one time $600 payment from the USDA to eligible farmworkers. The relief is intended to defray costs for reasonable and necessary personal, family or living expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. These payment will be available to eligible farm and food workers who performed work in farming activities and meatpacking during the period 1/27/2020 – 05/9/2023. Workers will need to provide sufficient proof of employment during the period and also identity when applying.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Property Fraud Alert Service Brought to You by the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, Palm Beach County
Property fraud is a growing concern, with scammers increasingly targeting homeowners by filing fraudulent documents to sell or transfer ownership of their property.
The Clerk’s office provides a free Property Fraud Alert service that notifies the recipient whenever a document is recorded with their name, business name, address or parcel number. This early warning system can help homeowners act quickly if they become the target of fraudulent activity. Sign up!

Affordable/Workforce Housing Dashboard for PBC Residents
In furtherance of its commitment to affordable and workforce housing, Palm Beach County launched a County-wide Housing Dashboard to assist residents find and connect with workforce or affordable housing units developed through private public partnerships between developers and local government. The dashboard contains information provided from the County and municipalities on Workforce Housing units created since the program's inception in 2006, and new affordable housing units approved since January 2022.

The Handicap Accessibility and Awareness Grant Program will improve accessibility and increase awareness for the approximately 107,000 disabled persons living in Palm Beach County. Proposed slated funding is $30,000. The grant program will enable any nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency in Palm Beach County, that provides service to persons with disabilities, to apply for funding to improve accessibility and equal opportunity and/or increase public awareness for persons with disabilities.

Glades Lake Region Presents: The Truth About the Youth Teen Summit
Glades/Lake Region, The Truth About the Youth Teen Summit will be held August 2-4 for youth in grades 6th-12th! Registered youth will participate in informative workshops on Mental Health, College Preparation, Gang Prevention, Racial Equity, Crime Prevention, Careers in Trades, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. There will also be a Jam Off, food and snacks, and each participant will receive a Summit t-shirt and other supplies.
