The Community ID of the Palm Beaches is for ANY resident who may have limited access to government issued forms of identification, and for those who support a diverse and inclusive community.
It is not a government issued form of ID or a driver’s license, but it is a verifiable form of identification that says you are a part of our community. It can be used within your community to gain access to essential services and as a tool to better identify, serve, and protect you.

Back to School Symposium: Online
The Back-to-School outreach campaign is back this year! We are hosting the 2024-2025 Back-to-School Initiative webcast. Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communications (SPEC) will provide information to help parents of young children and college students understand the tax credits (Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, etc.) and benefits they may be eligible to claim when they file a tax return. We will also raise awareness of free tax preparation available at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) sites. An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Farm and Food Worker Relief Program
PBC Community Action in partnership with Coalition of Florida Farmworker Organization, Inc. is assisting in providing this one time $600 payment from the USDA to eligible farmworkers. The relief is intended to defray costs for reasonable and necessary personal, family or living expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. These payment will be available to eligible farm and food workers who performed work in farming activities and meatpacking during the period 1/27/2020 – 05/9/2023. Workers will need to provide sufficient proof of employment during the period and also identity when applying.

Take Action Against Child Trafficking: World Day Against Trafficking in Persons
Did you know? One out of every three people impacted by human trafficking globally
is a child. Every year on July 30th, we observe World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (WDATIP) to raise awareness and fight for the rights of victims. Palm Beach County Faces a Real Problem: Palm Beach County has a troubling history of human trafficking cases involving minors. Florida ranks #3 nationally for suspected cases, and in 2023 alone, the Palm Beach County Task Force identified 76 new cases, supporting over 90 victims. Even more concerning, child exploitation is rising. The Department of Children and Families documented 93 reports involving minors, confirming 27 victims of sex and labor trafficking.

Glades Lake Region Presents: The Truth About the Youth Teen Summit
Glades/Lake Region, The Truth About the Youth Teen Summit will be held August 2-4 for youth in grades 6th-12th! Registered youth will participate in informative workshops on Mental Health, College Preparation, Gang Prevention, Racial Equity, Crime Prevention, Careers in Trades, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship. There will also be a Jam Off, food and snacks, and each participant will receive a Summit t-shirt and other supplies.
