Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies July 2023 Educational Calendar

This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Lakeside Medical Center Graduates 11th Class of Family Medicine Residents
The Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s teaching hospital, Lakeside Medical Center, recently graduated five new physicians. The hospital’s 11th class of family medicine
residents completed three years of rigorous training, the first of which was during the height of the pandemic in the underserved, rural Glades communities that were considered a hot spot.

From Palm Beach Housing Authority: "YouthBuild is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational opportunities for at-risk youth ages 16-24 who have previously dropped out of high school. It is a national program in which low-income youth earn their GEDs and learn job skills, focusing on construction and healthcare. In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
