FREE FOOD for Anyone in Need at The Glades Initiative
The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
- 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)
NEW: Wednesdays 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm – Drive through -food pantry – (current card holders only)

Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies August 2023 Educational Calendar
Educational classes and support groups are for pregnant women and new families. Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free hands-on education programs for parents and support partners. The class instructors are community partners or certified Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies staff.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

PBC Animal Care and Control Celebrates "DOGust" with Waived Adoption Fees
Palm Beach County Department of Public Safety’s Division of Animal Care and Control (PBCACC) is excited to announce "DOGust," a month-long celebration dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter dogs. To address the increase in the number of abandoned, stray and surrendered animals in recent months and ease overcrowding, the shelter is offering waived adoption fees.

Our office has thousands of dollars in unclaimed money waiting to be returned to its rightful owners. Could some of it belong to you? Businesses and individuals in Palm Beach County can search lists on our website to see if they are due unclaimed monies from our office. These lists include unclaimed vendor payments, refunds, deposits, juror checks and cash bonds were never cashed, and were collected prior to January 1, 2022.

Calling Area Nonprofits: Community Service Fair in Clewiston
Clewiston High School is hosting a Community Service Fair on Monday, August 14th, 2023, at the Clewiston High School Gymnasium from 8am-10am. If you need volunteers we invite you to register to participate. Booths are open to local Non-Profit Organizations. Set up will be available from 8am - 9am. The Fair will begin at 9am. Students who are interested in community service opportunities will be invited to attend. Clewiston High School has a student body of approximately 950 students. Oftentimes students do not know how to get connected to service organizations. We believe this fair will be the perfect platform to connect our students to community service opportunities.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
