Toast
Toastmasters Program in the Glades

The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback-and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.

Avoid the Summer Slide, Visit your Local Library

Have you heard about the "Summer Slide?" No, it isn't a new amusement park. The "Summer Slide" is a phrase used to describe the loss of reading skills that occur during the summer when children no longer have regular reading assignments. Basically, without practice, reading skills can decline.Parents and caregivers may find it difficult to motivate children to read throughout the year but this is especially true during the summer. Here are some tips to help your child not only retain their reading skills, but improve them ...

Take advantage of pop-up reading activities . Whether it's trying out a recipe, looking at a road map, or following directions on household items, reading opportunities happen throughout your day.
Get caught reading . Let your family see you reading. Good habits can be contagious!
Share a story . Take turns reading with your child and enjoy a wonderful bonding experience.

Enneagram for Leaders Presenter

The Enneagram is an extraordinarily accurate tool for self-knowledge. It gives you a clear picture of how you presently function and reveals the heights that you are capable of achieving. By uncovering your unconscious motivations and the reasons you get stuck, the Enneagram provides insights into the decisions you make and the relationships you create. Rather than put you in a box the way many personality profiles do, the Enneagram shows you the box you are already in--- and the way out! What emerges is a more functional and authentic version of yourself.
