FREE FOOD for Anyone in Need at The Glades Initiative
The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
- 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

Deadline Today: Paid Summer Program for Youth and Young Adults at CareerSource Palm Beach County
Thursday, June 29 is the deadline to apply for the last session of CareerSource Palm Beach County’s 5-week paid summer work readiness program for youth and young adults. Participants earn $15 per hour for 30 hours per week attending any of three online workforce readiness programs: Hospitality careers (participants can attain nationally recognized hospitality career credentials); Entrepreneurial opportunities; Proficiency with Microsoft Office products suite. The last summer session starts July 10.

PEPPI Headstart is Enrolling
PEPPI Head Start is now enrolling students. If you have a 3- to 5-year-old and want them to have a place for them to go for the summer, PEPPI Head Start offers year-round services to children and families within the community. Palm Beach County Housing Looking for Partners for the YouthBuild Program
From Palm Beach Housing Authority: "YouthBuild is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational opportunities for at-risk youth ages 16-24 who have previously dropped out of high school. It is a national program in which low-income youth earn their GEDs and learn job skills, focusing on construction and healthcare. We are now reaching out to our partners who provided letters of support for in-kind services, those who have partnered with the PBCHA, and anyone interested in partnering with us for the YouthBuild program to kick off this effort!"

This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
