The Glades Initiative has three used pc monitors, 50+ large nice cloth tablecloths, some are maroon and others are gold. We also have a couple of older chairs available free of charge for tax-exempt organizations (churches, non-profits, etc.).

Third Glades Citizens Criminal Justice Academy CRIMINALJUSTICE

Members of the public are invited to attend the third annual Glades Citizen's Criminal Justice Academy. Sessions will be held on five consecutive Mondays at the Belle Glade Library/Civic Center. The classes are free, and dinner will be served. Anyone over the age of 14 is welcome, and up to 15 hours of community service credit can be earned.

The purpose of the Citizen's Criminal Justice Academy is to provide fundamental information to citizens of Palm Beach County regarding the criminal justice system and how decisions are made. Participants will see demonstrations, meet with decision makers, and tour the jail. It is a valuable opportunity to learn about procedures, meet experts, ask questions and see facilities in person. The Palm Beach County's Criminal Justice Commission, Sheriff's Office, and Office of Community Revitalization sponsor the academy.

South Bay (Jaguars) Youth Football & Cheer Registration Now Open REGISTRATION

Kings Tutoring and Mentoring (KTM)Foundation Inc, are now accepting Registration for youth 5-14 years of age. After seeing the need for a positive outlet for the youth, we decided to start up a football program in the city of South Bay. KTM Foundation has formed a new football andcheer program in the Pop Warners Treasure Coast League for the youth in the City of South Bay and any youth within the Glades who would like to be apart of this program.

From Leadership Palm Beach County: Are you a nonprofit that could use some help? We are now accepting proposals for the 2018 - 19 Civic Engagement Projects!  We empower leadership class members to take active roles in the community through our interactive curriculum as well as year-long civic engagement partnerships with civic organizations.  Civic engagement projects utilize the intellectual capacity of each class to address the needs and goals of civic organizations in Palm Beach County. RFPs are due before 5 p.m. on June 29, 2018.
