The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. The meeting is open to all who wish to join.

Community Action & Farmworker Career Development Programs Move to New Location

On March 13, 2019 Community Action and Farmworker Career Development Programs will begin the merger and relocation of its Belle Glade office to 38754 State Rd  80, Room 216, Belle Glade.  Community Action Program and Farmworker Career Development Program's current office location (607 South Main Street, Suite 103, Belle Glade) will remain open until April 26 providing limited services.

WPB Opens Non-elderly Disabled Choice Vouchers

From the West Palm Beach Housing Authority: "The Non-elderly disabled (NED) housing choice voucher assistance enables non-elderly disabled households to lease affordable private housing of their choice. Only income eligible disabled households whose head, spouse or co-head is non-elderly (under age 62) and disabled may receive a NED voucher."

VITA Sites Open in the Glades - File for Free! VITA

United Way of Palm Beach County has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to bring free tax preparation service to those in our community with an annual household income of $66,000 or less in 2018 and focus on those who may be eligible to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit  (EITC) of up to $6,431. VITA sites will open on Monday, January 28, 2019.
