The Glades Initiative Food Pantry of Choice Hours
We hope that the flexibility of our new “Pantry of Choice” hours helps us to serve you better. You may come to shop in the food pantry once per week at any time during open hours. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines)! Food will no longer be distributed outside.
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week

Several Public COVID Testing Sites Closed
Due to low utilization of testing sites and some federal funding being reallocated, testing sites
operated by CDR-McGuire have closed. This includes sites in Palm Beach County; FAU Tech
Runway, Caloosa Park, Gaines Park, Gardens Branch - PBC Libraries, Mid County Senior Center and the South County Civic Center. In addition, the FDOH Lake Worth Health Center on Southwinds Drive has also closed.

The National Bar Association is hosting its annual MLK Drum Major for Justice Advocacy Contest and the Cunningham Bar has agreed to be a regional participant to receive and evaluate essays for Palm Beach County. The essay contest is open to current high school juniors and seniors. Essays are due to the Cunningham Bar by April 1, 2022.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
