Glades High School Juniors & Seniors, Join BHT Paid Workforce Training Program this Summer
Student ACES presents this new opportunity for high school juniors and seniors in the Glades community to participate in a first-of-its-kind Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Workforce Training Program. The 10-week, 66-hour structured training program will prepare 10 selected students for entry-level careers in the fast-growing behavioral and mental health field. The program will run from June 15 through August 21, 2026, at the Student ACES Center (SAC) in Belle Glade.

Back To School PBC! Registration Extended Until May 31!
Register to receive FREE backpacks and school supplies. Participating students may receive haircuts, school uniforms, sneakers, socks, blood tests, biometric health screenings, vision, dental and hearing tests, and other services and resources, depending on location and resource availability.
To register, parents or students should go to the above website and enter code PBCOCR (or you can leave it blank), the parent’s email address, and the parent’s cell phone number. Registration is available in English, Spanish, and Creole. A confirmation email will be sent upon registration.

NOFA Emergency Repairs Program Opens June 8th
Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development announces the availability of approximately $2,300,000 in the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Emergency Repairs Program. Funding will provide up to $75,000 to assist low income eligible owner-occupied residences to address emergency conditions such as roofing, electrical, plumbing, hurricane hardening (impact windows, doors, etc.) and structural repairs for residents age 62 and older, veterans and/or special needs applicants. The property's appraised value cannot exceed $434,000. See below for more information.

Call for Volunteers for 2026 Back to School PBC! Event
The Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization (OCR) is calling on residents, community partners, and service-minded volunteers to step forward and support the Back to School PBC! 2026 Event. The event will be hosted at multiple locations across Palm Beach County. Volunteers are needed for the event setup on Friday, July 31st, and the event day operations on Saturday, August 1st; with the greatest need for hands-on support during the main day at the Convention Center. Volunteers supporting Saturday’s event must be 18 years of age or older.
