Better Together: Law Enforcement and Victim Advocacy Responses to Concussions and Strangulation
From Justice Clearinghouse: "We will discuss the opportunities and challenges of collaboration between agencies, as well as how brain injury can impact initial law enforcement interactions that often occur right after physical assaults have happened. We will discuss effective documentation of brain injury, as well as suggested protocols for responding to domestic violence calls involving head, neck, and facial injuries. We will highlight successful collaboration between law enforcement and victim advocacy, and you will leave with new ideas for addressing this critically under-identified issue."

Glades Technical Advisory Committee Meeting
Director Bayat and Division Director Estime will be providing information on a planned septic-to-sewer conversion project that will serve 15 selected property owners within the City of Pahokee. This initiative represents a significant capital investment in the Pahokee community and is designed to improve infrastructure while enhancing the quality of life for local property owners.
Housing & Economic Development (HED) staff will be in attendance to provide important information and share insights regarding Palm Beach County’s Housing Rehabilitation Program provided through HED. Funding will provide up to $100,000 to income eligible homeowners for substantial rehabilitation to correct code violations or items that will become a code violation.

Funding will provide up to $100,000 to income-eligible homeowners for substantial rehabilitation to correct code violations or items that will become a code violation. CPR & First Aid Certification Classes
From Your Neighborhood Nurse Practitioner, PLLC: "We are offering CPR/AED & Basic First Aid training in Belle Glade. This class teaches how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, use an AED, assist choking victims, and give basic first aid. You’ll leave feeling confident and prepared to help in an emergency! The classes are combined; anyone can attend. Check out prices on flyer. Only 4 seats remain! $10.00 deposit due by November 29th, 2025.

Need Help While Facing Cancer? Referrals for Support Are Available Now!
The Open Table Committee is pleased to share that they received a grant from Exact Sciences to provide priority supports for residents who are battling cancer. These supports may include Transportation to and from appointments, Help with utility bills (electricity, water, telephone), Auto-related assistance (gas, car payments, car repairs), and Regular check-ins for those without nearby loved ones. As part of the grant, 25 individuals are required to be served by December 2025. Providers, please refer clients to Annie or Veree Jenkins.
