Open to All: Food Distribution Every Wednesday at The Glades Initiative
The Glades Initiative offers weekly food distribution to anyone in need. Those coming in cars are asked to line up beside the office for drive-through pick-up on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM. Both drivers and walkers will receive food bags on a first-come first-serve basis.
Our staff and volunteers will wear personal protective gear as we handle and distribute the food bags. We ask that drivers and their passengers remain in their vehicles and practice social distancing measures to keep everyone safe.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Grab 'n Go Meals (For Ages 18 and under)
Children and families can access free meals for kids 18 and under at more than 100 BreakSpot Grab ‘n Go sites around the County. Meals are FREE to anyone under 18 years of age (under 22 for ESE students), regardless of financial need. Hunger Relief is working with the School District of Palm Beach County, FLIPANY, Feeding South Florida, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County sites.

Youth Services and United Way of PBC Provide CARES Act Grant Funding to Nonprofits - Deadline Nov 30
The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is providing grant funding through its Youth Services Department to the United Way of Palm Beach County for nonprofit agencies throughout Palm Beach County. Monies are made available through the county’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to meet the needs of qualifying 501 (c)(3) or 501(c)(19) nonprofit agencies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

PBC Animal Care and Control Waives Cat and Kitten Adoption Fees
From PBC Animal Care and Control: Because of the high number of cats and kittens that are in need of good homes, the shelter has waived the adoption fee for all cats and kittens in the adoption program. The promotional fees will run through the end of November.

911 Good Samaritan Law: e-Learning
From PBSO: Did you know death by drug overdose does not have to happen? Yes, we can survive a drug overdose; people do every day. Please listen to our brief online 12-minute webinar on Florida’s 911 Good Samaritan Law (F.S.S. 893.21). You will learn what an opioid overdose looks like and tips to help someone in a drug overdose situation. You will earn a certificate good for an hour of community service.

Too Good for Drugs Curriculum for Teachers
From PBSO: Geared towards children ages 6-17. Sheriff Bradshaw has offered to buy Too Good for Drugs curriculum for any educator/coordinator who works at a not for profit entity. Dr. Klarich will come to your work place and train all educators if needed. Any teacher who attends the training will receive a curriculum for their classroom (valued at $150 -$300.) with the understanding that they will begin to teach the curriculum when they receive it. The curriculum can be taught within 30 minutes a week, once a week, for a 10 week block. The curriculum teaches social and emotional learning which has been proven to reduce anti-social behaviors such as drug seeking or bullying in children as they get older.
