Funding Available to Income-Eligible Homeowners for Substantial Rehabilitation to Correct Code Violations
Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development announces availability of $2,300,000 in ARPA-RF funds for the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program. Funding will provide up to $100,000 to income-eligible homeowners for substantial rehabilitation to correct code violations or items that will become a code violation. Eligible homeowners must reside in an unincorporated area of Palm Beach County. Read flyer thoroughly for requirements and approaching orientation days.

Latinx Adults Residing in Rural Florida Are Invited to Participate in DORMIR Study - $150 Compensation
The main purpose of the University of Miami's DORMIR study is to assess how insufficient sleep contributes to negative cardiovascular health outcomes, particularly in rural Floridian communities for their recruitment efforts. These findings can lead to actionable clinical, lifestyle, and policy interventions that can improve the health of the Latino and Latina community. Visits are fully remote. If eligible, up to $150 is available for compensation for participation.

Need Help While Facing Cancer? Referrals for Support Are Available Now!
The Open Table Committee is pleased to share that they received a grant from Exact Sciences to provide priority supports for residents who are battling cancer. These supports may include Transportation to and from appointments, Help with utility bills (electricity, water, telephone), Auto-related assistance (gas, car payments, car repairs), and Regular check-ins for those without nearby loved ones. As part of the grant, 25 individuals are required to be served by December 2025. Providers, please refer clients to Annie or Veree Jenkins.
