The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).
Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week
WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)
- 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Wednesday)

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

PBC Animal Care and Control Shelter is Over Capacity
Palm Beach County Department of Public Safety’s Division of Animal Care and Control (PBC ACC) is urging the community to foster or adopt a pet as the number of animals in the shelter has risen to over 350. More than 30 animals were owner-surrendered to PBC ACC in a two-day span. With numbers like this, capacity for care is stretched to the limit, making the plea for adoptions/fosters more important than ever.

Palm Beach County Continues to Respond to MonkeyPox
The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County continues to respond to monkeypox cases and reminds communities of symptoms, prevention, and treatment. To date, there have been no monkeypox-related deaths outside of endemic countries. The risk of monkeypox to the general population remains low. DOH-Palm Beach is reminding communities of prevention and treatment of monkeypox.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
