Glades PATCH Meeting PLANNEDAPPROACH
 
The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include the social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. The meeting is open to all who wish to join.

Get Your Driver's License Back and Save on Fees LICENSE
 
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the Clerk's office is authorized to waive collection agency fees - some as high as 40 percent - for anyone who pays off their court obligations in full or signs up for a monthly payment plan. Those who pay their debts or go on a monthly payment plan will also be able to reinstate their suspended driver's license in most cases.

Mayhem Poets Return to Dolly Hand CAC
 
The Mayhem Poets will be doing a three-day residency in Belle Glade that will include four poetry-writing workshops for Palm Beach State English classes and a poetry slam on campus. The residency will conclude with a performance at the Dolly Hand on Thursday, November 7. Students from Palm Beach State will be invited to share their poetry during the show!

Attend Training Workshop to Host Your Own Table for the On the Table Conversation

Thousands of diverse residents from all walks of life will gather throughout the area to discuss meaningful ideas to strengthen our community. At community centers, local restaurants, libraries, private homes, offices - literally anywhere a host chooses. Conversations can be sit-down, catered, picnic, or potluck - completely up to each host. Attend a training workshop in October to learn how you can host your own event for On the Table.

RFP: Rising Leaders Service Learning Projects

The purpose of this Rising Leaders Service Learning Project RFP is to solicit proposals from nonprofit organizations in Broward and Palm Beach counties who need assistance with mitigating or solving a present challenge within their organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an organization to address a need or complete a project for which there are limited resources available.

FREE Senior Congregate Meal Sites in the Glades

Seniors can receive a hot meal for free by visiting a congregate meal site in the Glades. Any senior can attend any meal site they choose. There is also complimentary Palm Tran Connection transportation available to the Senior Center. That arrangement is made when the senior applies at the center. Requirements can be found in the form below.
