Free Your Mind at the Belle Glade HUB
From The Recovery Community HUB of Belle Glade: "With the continual rise of this Mental Health Crisis that has not just knocked on the door of the Glades, but forced its way in, we’ve suppressed our pain, kept family secrets, band aid trauma, caused trauma and hid it, and now is time to reveal and heal. The Hub doesn't want to drop the ball but take the initiative to continue the efforts of awareness. We desire to destroy the stigma concerning Mental Health for the sake of healthier Glades Communities. We’ll be explaining the different kinds of resources (understanding Mental Care doesn’t look the same for everyone), helping you to understand that our Mental takes Maintenance, and that IT’S OK TO ASK FOR HELP!!!! Can we Normalize “Asking For Help?”"

Amendment 3 Could Harm Funding for Social Services
Many nonprofits serve critical community needs, working to fill gaps in mental health care, victim services, after-school education, and a wide range of other public services not currently supported by local governments. Significant losses to local government revenue, as a result of Amendment 3, would create substantial economic and operational challenges to nonprofit organizations, at a time when the sector is already navigating increased costs and reduced public funding.
