Last Chance for First-Time Applicants to Join Healthier Glades Mini Grant Workshop is 9/17!
Have a great idea to make the Glades healthier, stronger, and more connected? Healthier Glades is here to help you bring it to life! From August 20 to September 17, 2025, Healthier Glades will host a free 5-week workshop series designed especially for first-time applicants preparing to apply for this year’s Healthier Glades Mini Grant.
To qualify for this year’s mini grant, participants must attend at least one workshop. However, attending all five increases your chances of receiving the full grant amount if selected. Who Can Apply? 1) Residents who have never applied for or received a Healthier Glades Mini Grant, 2) Grassroots groups without a 501(c)(3) designation and 3) Nonprofits that are less than two years old.

Ready to Start Your Career in Commercial Driving? West Tech offers full-service training and testing for: Class A – $4,391 (Next cohort begins January 2026) and Class B – Commercial, School Bus, Coach Bus – $2,558 (Next cohort begins September 22, 2025).
Program cost includes your first on-site test (BVI, Skills Range, and Road Test). Retests available at an additional cost. Requirements for Admission: CVD Permit, 6-year driving record, DOT physical examiner certificate / card, and Payment or proof of scholarship award.

Citizen’s Criminal Justice Academy Begins 9/17, Register Now!
The CCJA offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at how Palm Beach County’s criminal justice system works. From law enforcement and the courts to corrections and community programs, participants will engage directly with professionals in the field. Whether you are simply curious or a committed skeptic, this course is designed for you. Dinner will be served each evening, and participants age 14 and older are welcome to attend. At the end of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their participation and commitment to understanding the criminal justice system.
