The Glades Initiative's Food Pantry is available to anyone in need. Residents may come in once per week at any time during the hours listed below. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines).

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

Health Care District's Primary Care Clinics Receive Health Center Quality Recognition
For the fourth year in a row, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded a gold-level “Health Center Quality Leader” to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics. This recognition means the clinics are ranked among the top 10% of health centers nationally for best overall clinical quality measure (CQM).

American Heart Association Metabolic Syndrome Awareness Campaign and Survey
Do you know that Metabolic syndrome can raise a person’s risk of coronary heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and other serious health problems? As part of the American Heart Association’s Health Equity Council, we are developing a Metabolic Syndrome awareness campaign and we need your help to collect baseline information about awareness of Metabolic syndrome in Palm Beach County using a brief survey. As part of this survey, there is also an opportunity for anyone living with metabolic syndrome to share their story and be entered into a raffle to earn a gift card.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
