Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Presents: Cadet West CADET

From PBC Mayor Melissa McKinlay: "Fire Rescue will be launching a brand new Cadet program in the Glades Area which they have deemed CADET WEST. To date, 5 kids have signed up, and we hope this event will encourage more! Please join Fire Rescue staff as they welcome the western community to share what the Cadet program is all about. Our local cadets will be attending and will be doing demonstrations and giving valuable information to new candidates.

The cadet program allows teenagers an opportunity to attain real-life experience on the job within Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. They earn the privilege to ride along on the Fire Rescue trucks, responding to real time 9-11 calls and situations. The program emphasizes teamwork and being an upstanding citizen of the community."
