Amendment 3 Could Harm Funding for Social Services
Many nonprofits serve critical community needs, working to fill gaps in mental health care, victim services, after-school education, and a wide range of other public services not currently supported by local governments. Significant losses to local government revenue, as a result of Amendment 3, would create substantial economic and operational challenges to nonprofit organizations, at a time when the sector is already navigating increased costs and reduced public funding.

Mothers in the Muck Presents: Biweekly Diaper Distribution Program
Mothers in the Muck are alternating between BRIDGES at Pahokee and BRIDGES at Belle Glade to help families access essential baby supplies while staying connected to community support and resources. Reminder: To continue receiving diapers on a biweekly basis, moms must attend at least 2 MITM events each month. Check out the flyer for dates, locations, and details. People of Purpose Presents: Life Skills Seminar - Plus Light and Water Bill Assistance!
People of Purpose is seeking 10 individuals with stable housing in the Glades area who could use assistance with their light or water bill. Participants must commit to attending all three Life Skills Training sessions, designed to provide practical knowledge, resources, and tools for greater stability and self-sufficiency. As an incentive for completing all three sessions, People of Purpose will provide $100 toward each participant’s light or water bill. The utility bill must be in the participant’s name. Space is limited to the first 10 eligible individuals.

Free Legal Assistance for Eligible Palm Beach County Homeowners – The Deadline is Approaching!
The goal of the Heirs’ Property Family Wealth Protection Fund project is to preserve generational wealth and promote community stability by providing legal services to eligible homeowners, such as the creation of estate plans, wills, deeds, and the clearing of tangled property titles. All services will be 100% free of cost to eligible property owners.

Becoming a partner of the Town of Palm Beach United Way allows nonprofit agencies to receive annual program funding, and the credibility that comes with their brand. Nonprofits must become Town of Palm Beach United Way partners before applying for program funding. FREE Immunizations at West Tech

SBA Disaster Loan Deadline Approaching for Florida Businesses and Private Nonprofits
The U.S. Small Business Administration reminds eligible small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in Florida impacted by freeze and frost occurring Jan. 23 through Feb. 5, to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans before the Nov. 4 deadline. Palm Beach County and others eligible.

Enroll for Phlebotomy Technician Training Course at PBSC
This course is designed for the individual seeking a healthcare credential in the field of Phlebotomy. Participants will gain the knowledge and laboratory skills to perform a variety of blood collection methods and techniques required to become a phlebotomist. Classroom and skills laboratory instruction will also include a basic review of concepts related to anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, infection control, handling, and storage. Upon completion of this course participants will be prepared to take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification and earn the CPT credential.

Family wellness day is an opportunity for grieving families with children ages 8-18 to come together to honor and work on their grief together as a family in a relaxed therapeutic atmosphere. Alongside our grief counselors, equine therapists and horse partners, families will work on coping skills, communication and supporting one another. Palm Beach State College Launches Drone Training Program Oct. 6 on Belle Glade Campus
The 12-week, noncredit program includes 220 hours of training in supervised flight operations, drone safety, maintenance and troubleshooting. The course is designed to prepare students for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Part 107 Remote Pilot license exam and entry-level opportunities in commercial drone operations.
