Glass Studio Updates
Hope everyone is enjoying the summer and staying cool!
Here's what is going on in the Glass Studio.
Studio Closure
Reminder that the CAC building will be closed for maintenance starting Monday, August 10 and reopening on Monday, August 31. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO ACCESS TO THE BUILDING DURING THESE 3 WEEKS.
All projects should be removed from the back shelf and from the counters by 8/8. The last kiln firing will be Saturday, August 8 and projects need to be picked up Sunday, August 9 in the morning when they come out of the kiln.
If you plan to work on anything at home during this time, plan ahead and take your glass supplies home. Club tools and supplies can not be removed from the Glass Room.
Firebox Kiln
The Firebox Kiln is temporarily out of commission due to damage to the lid. Pieces from the lid are chipping/crumbling and landing on glass projects. At this point we have shutdown the kiln to avoid any damage to glass projects. We are working on getting this repaired as soon as possible.
Murrine/Cane Cutter Tool
We have relocated the Murrine/Cane Cutter tool to the tall supply cabinet for easy access to the club members. Please remember to put it back in the cabinet after using it. Thanks!
