Photoworks Special Events


Champagne and Platinum: 7pm Friday

Sip bubbly and watch a live demo of the process. Platinum printing allows delicate rendering of image detail with an astonishing tonal range and legendary permanence.


​Wet Plate Demonstration: 11am Saturday

Live demo of the photographic process dominant in the 1850s-70s. The photographer must sensitize, expose, and develop the plate in a matter of minutes, using a portable darkroom.

Camps for Kids

Around the World Music Camp (Ages 4-7)

M - F | Jul 25 - 29 | 9am - 3pm


Learning to know and respect other cultures through their music. From singing folk songs and learning rhythms from around the globe, campers will learn to see the world through the eyes of music.

Little Star Violin Camp (Ages 4-5)

M - F | Aug 8 - 12 | 9am - 3pm


Let your child shine through a fun experience of music and the violin. Children explore the basics of rhythm and sound through musical games, crafts, songs, and movement. Great hands-on introduction to the violin for beginners! Violins and bows provided. Siblings requesting the same camp whose ages fall outside the parameters will be accommodated to the extent possible, with the approval of the teacher.

lost wax piece - Silverworks

Introduction to Lost Wax Casting

Sun | Aug 14 - 28 | 10:30am - 1:30pm


Learn the time honored craft of Lost Wax. Sculpt a ring or pendant (your choice) out of wax with two techniques, addition and reduction (carving & melting). Your wax will be cast in Sterling Silver for you to finish with traditional techniques; filing, sanding, & polishing using a flexible shaft and polishing wheel.
