Glenn Highway MP 53-56 Reconstruction
Moose Creek Canyon
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF), in coordination with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is making progress to re-align and straighten the three-mile section of the Glenn Highway from milepost 53 to 56 and construct a new bridge over Moose Creek.

The project is continuing the engineering phase after extensive cultural resources planning and the successful execution of a memorandum of agreement with collaborating agencies and local tribal organizations. Geotechnical investigations, permitting, utility planning, and bridge design are currently underway.

A public meeting is being planned for early 2020 to discuss the project progress and present upcoming project plans anticipated for the summer of 2020.
