Amanda Lewan, CEO and Co-founder of Bamboo

Amanda is the CEO of Bamboo a co-working space developer and operator with locations across Metro Detroit. Bamboo's mission is to build an inclusive and innovative ecosystem. With nearly 1,000 members who are entrepreneurs, operators, and leaders, Bamboo has been recognized locally and nationally for their impact. Bamboo - Royal Oak is hosting the 15th Annual GAMIC Semi-Finals Event and is a major supporter of automotive and mobility start-ups in Michigan and cross-border with the Accelerator in Windsor, Ontario.

Andreas Mai, Senior Advisor in the Automotive and Mobility practice of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As a thought leader in digital innovation and the future of people and goods transportation he is frequently invited to speak at conferences worldwide. His latest works include: “Driving Disruptive Innovation in the Age of Digitization” in the book “Digital or Dead” and “A $5 Trillion Ticket: Funding the Future of Transportation” at TEDx.

Beyza Sarioglu, Vice President, Digital Cockpit and Connected Services Visteon Corporation. Is a technology and business executive with more than 20 years of automotive experience. in engineering, sales, product planning, and general management including a 3-year international expatriate assignment in China. Advance driver assistance systems, electrification of powertrain and connectivity. She has been recognized as one of the notable women in STEM by Crain’s Detroit in 2019.

Fred Cartwright, President and CEO of Conexus Indiana, one of six (6) non-profit branded initiatives under the umbrella of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) founded in 2007. Cartwright has spent his career in manufacturing innovation leadership positions, with an emphasis on automotive technology commercialization, business development, public-private-partnerships and leading-edge research park development. This includes 33 years at General Motors, 5 years at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in Greenville, South Carolina and 3 years as President of PRUV Mobility,

James Robnett, Vice President Sales and Business Development at Basemark. James is a seasoned automotive executive with over 30 years experience working in R&D, Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, Business Development, and Sales and Marketing. Robnett has particular experience and expertise in ADAS, Autonomous Driving, and Infotainment products and services. He has worked throughout the Automotive eco-system with roles with OEMs, Tier 1s, Growth Companies, and Start-Ups. Recently he was part of the executive team that took AEye (a LiDAR and perception start-up) public.

John Cain, CEO of 3IS Inc. an industry specialist in automotive electronics hardware, software and software development. John starting his career at Western Gear, now part of Northrop Grumman and also worked with United Technologies and Lucas Electronics (now TRW), at Philips Semiconductors (now NXP), Siemens Microelectronics (now Infineon), and VP of Marketing and Sales at Vector CANtech. In 2002 John formed 3IS, providing electronics research tools, benchmarking and consulting services to the automotive industry. John is an established author, having written a patent on IT related, server query processes and numerous whitepapers.

Partha Goswami, Senior Manager Technology Trends & Insights, General Motors

Partha has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a background spanning product development, R&D, planning and a variety of business assignments in brand strategy and capital management. As General Motors' professional fellow and senior manager of technology insight in Global Product Planning, he is responsible for identifying technology trends, exploring future implications and cascading strategic recommendations to leadership within the company. He holds a Ph.D. Applied Mechanics from Iowa State University, an MBA from University of Michigan and has a certification as foresight professional from University of Houston.

Roger Jollis, brings executive experience from the Automotive, Aerospace, IT and Consumer Electronics industries as a board and management advisor to technology startups in the automotive industry. Most recently, Roger held the role of Vice President of Product Management for Harman’s Automotive Connectivity Business Unit where he was responsible for Harman’s hardware, software and services product lines that securely connect cars to the Internet, to the transportation infrastructure and to each other. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University in New York. 

Tissaphern Mirfakhrai is a Senior Engineering Specialist at Eaton Research Laboratories, Eaton Corporation’s central R&D. Dr. Mirfakhrai received his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Canada in 2009. He completed postdoctoral studies at Stanford University, where he developed new materials and systems for energy storage and solar cells and studied their degradation mechanisms. He joined Eaton Corporation’s Electronics Division in Pleasanton, California in 2013, where he developed supercapacitors and power inductors. He was recognized as Eaton Engineer of the year in 2016 for the invention of a new type of supercapacitor that enhanced their energy density by 30%, which he subsequently helped turn into a commercially available product.

15th GAMIC FINALS

Onsite and online from SAE WCX at Huntington Place is the 16th largest convention center in the United States. Built by the City of Detroit, it was originally opened in 1960 and named Cobo Hall in honor of former Detroit Mayor Albert E. Cobo (1950-1957).In 2021, the venue name was changed to Huntington Place. Today, the center hosts conferences, conventions and tradeshows bringing 1.5 million visitors a year from across the globe to Detroit.
