A Global Companionship Initiative of the Jesuit Schools Network
Dear Global Companions:

We will soon take up the plow of Year Two of Hemispheres, but here are some important initiatives already afoot with our partners...
DACA Sign-On Letter Request

Bishop Joe S. Vásquez, Chair of the Migration Committee and Bishop of Austin, Texas
The Ignatian Solidarity Network invites Jesuit and Ignatian educators across the U.S. to lift up Bishop Joe S. Vásquez's recent statement in support of young immigrants who are part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The sign-on letter is addressed to John F. Kelly, former DHS Secretary and current White House chief of staff, and calls upon the Administration to "maintain DACA as an essential program for the well-being of young people and our communities."

La Silla Roja: A Journey Toward Justice
With the start of the 2017-2018 school year just a few weeks away, Friends of Fe y Alegría in the US is proud to present La Silla Roja: A Journey Toward Justice!

Teachers, school staff and administrators are invited to a FREE WEBINAR on Wednesday, August 16th at 11:00am EST / 8:00am PST to meet with the Friends of Fe y Alegría in the US team, ask questions and learn more about this year's La Silla Roja campaign.
2017 Jesuit Schools Global Map
Educate Magis is delighted to announce the updated version of the Jesuit Schools Global Map.  The 2017 information has been gathered meticulously by the Educate Magis Team, the ICAJE members and the Jesuit and lay volunteers from schools around the world.

There is so much to look forward to this school year in our efforts to be in companionship with the world!  Blessings on the start of your journey.  As a fellow pilgrim once stated...
