Instagram: Check out Tonanziht Aguas's experience from the "Food and Sustainability in Thailand" program where gained a deeper understanding of sustainability and experienced the culture and tradition in Thailand:

-----------

"Traveling to Thailand was an opportunity to experience an entirely different way of life. I had many firsts, such as eating duck, trying durian, sitting at low-rise tables, and going to a rural farm. I am amazed by the kindness of Thai people, the grandness of cities like Bangkok, the beauty of ancient palaces and sites, and the night markets that I had only seen on YouTube videos before this trip." Volunteer Opportunity – The Language Bank

Rutgers faculty, staff, and students who have competency in languages other than English can use their language skills to advance the common good through the Language Bank. This new initiative, offered through the School of Arts and Sciences and The Language Center, will provide free translation (written) and interpreting (oral) services to local nonprofits and social service organizations. The goal of the project is to support these organizations in their efforts as they work on behalf of the linguistically diverse population of New Jersey. Volunteers can learn more about the project and register online at The Language Bank website
