Facebook: “In our second week in the study abroad program, we shifted our focus towards the topic of public health, where we met various institutions relating to the disease of schistosomiasis in some way. We met with the national rice storage site, small organizations that worked closely to the waterways of the Senegal river, the Djoudj national bird sanctuary, and the Station d’Innovation Aquacole, an organization that personally made site visits to areas with high risk of schistosomiasis through snail vectors.... In summary, this particular study abroad to Senegal was truly a great experience to attend, allowing me to both enjoy the new environment and further my interests in the research field.” (2/2)
