Rutgers Delegation Deepens Outreach in India: In a major step to bolster its global visibility, an institution-wide delegation from Rutgers University visited India in March 2025. The visit marked a strategic push to deepen Rutgers’ engagement with India’s vibrant academic and innovation ecosystem through the exploration of new partnerships, research initiatives, and student mobility programs.

Exploring Law and Life in Cuba: For a group of Rutgers Law School students, Cuba turned out to be a truly unique and educational Spring Break destination, made possible through a travel course designed to expose students to Cuban law, history, and society through firsthand encounters with local attorneys, activists, students, and community members.

Letter of Intent Signed Between Rutgers University and King Saud University: As part of its Governor-led economic mission to the Gulf Arab States, Governor Murphy and Choose New Jersey facilitated the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) between Rutgers University and King Saud University to establish academic collaboration in public policy research.

Extreme Monsoon Changes Threaten the Bay of Bengal's Role as a Critical Food Source: New research involving Rutgers professors has revealed that expected, extreme changes in India’s summer monsoon could drastically hamper the Bay of Bengal’s ability to support a crucial element of the region’s food supply: marine life.

Learning-Abroad Trip to Greece Brings the Past into the Present: Kimberlee Moran, associate teaching professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice at Rutgers University–Camden, has created a course that allows 12 students interested in history, archaeology, and anthropology the chance to connect with the foundations of Western society and culture by traveling to Greece during spring break.

Live From Antarctica: Rutgers Opens a Portal to One of Earth’s Most Remote Places: Wearing overalls, layered sweatshirts, and a knit cap to fend off the chilly weather, Rutgers biological oceanographer Mya Sharpe stood on a deck of Palmer Station on Anvers Island near the Antarctic Peninsula, broadcasting live to students, some more than 6,000 miles away.

As someone from a Mexican background, I embarked on this program with the hope of exploring the traditions and values of my ancestors while gaining new perspectives to apply in my social work practice. One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was the opportunity to immerse myself in the daily life and customs of the Yucatán.”
