“Studying abroad in Yucatán, Mexico, has been a deeply personal journey that allowed me to reconnect with my cultural roots and expand my understanding of my heritage. As someone from a Mexican background, I embarked on this program with the hope of exploring the traditions and values of my ancestors while gaining new perspectives to apply in my social work practice. One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was the opportunity to immerse myself in the daily life and customs of the Yucatán.”
