Circleville Pumpkin Show 2018

Global Engagement will be going to the 2018 Circleville Pumpkin Show on Friday, October 19. The Circleville Pumpkin Show is considered the largest festival dedicated to pumpkins.The deadline to register is October 15. Space is limited and seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. Plan to meet at the Ohio Union bus turnaround (12th Avenue) by 4 p.m. and to return by 9 p.m. Make sure to bring money for food and souvenirs. This event is for Ohio State students only.

Seeking Passionate Buckeyes for A
Once-in-A-Lifetime Opportunity

In the 201920 academic year, Ohio State will select 150 students from across the university to participate in the Sesquicentennial Student Scholar Leadership Program. These scholars will be ambassadors for the university and the sesquicentennial[the university, the sesquicentennial and Your College/Campus], participate in a Buckeye-focused leadership development program and receive a $2,500 scholarship. Any student in good standing currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or professional program on any Ohio State campus is eligible to be a Sesquicentennial Scholar.

Pumpkins, Peace and Police

Join Global Engagement and Ohio State's Police Division in celebrating autumn. Police officers will be available to talk and answer any questions you may have. Plus, pumpkin treats, coffee and cider will be provided! The event will take place next to Enarson Classroom Building on October 18, 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Global Engagement Night

Global Engagement Night invites international and domestic students to participate in cross-cultural discussions about different regions of the world and share their thoughts on topics affecting all college students. Global Engagement Night takes place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building. The next Global Engagement Night will be on October 9, and the topic of discussion will be TEDx Talks. Snacks will be provided!

Global Engagement Film Series

The Office of International Affairs collaborates with the Gateway Film Center to host a monthly international film series. Students have the chance to view films from around the world for free! The next film will be shown on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center. Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because the first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda! Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public. Contact Renée Bishai with questions.

Halloween Party at the Office of International Affairs

Students are invited to join the Office of International Affairs' 2018 Halloween Party on October 23, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in 140 Enarson Classroom Building. Come in your best costumes and enjoy food, music and games. There will also be pumpkin carving, a costume contest and trick-or-treating! Families and friends are welcome.

Participate in Taste of OSU 2019

Ohio State international student organizations are invited to apply to participate in Taste of OSU 2019. Organizations can participate in the following ways: preparing international foods, displaying cultural booths, performing interactive activities or performing on stage. Taste of OSU 2019 will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the Ohio Union. Those interested in applying, please read the student participation guidelines and apply before the deadline on November 2 at midnight.

Apply to the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program

The Office of Student Lifes Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program (BLF) is excited to invite prospective Fellows to apply for the 2021 Cohort. BLF is a diverse and select, interdisciplinary cohort program, encompassing a rigorous personal, professional and leadership development co-curricular experience, spanning four semesters. Interested students may apply during their second year on campus. We are seeking students who are looking to #LeadWithEdge academically, professionally and within their respective communities.
