Enter the Lottery for a Free Fall Break Trip

International and domestic students can enter a lottery to join the Office of International Affairs' Global Engagement and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on a trip to Birmingham and Montgomery, AL, and Nashville, TN from October 10 - 14 during fall break (interested students should be able to leave that Wednesday). There are only 40 spots available!

International Photography Competition

The Office of International Affairs sponsors an annual international photography competition open to all Ohio State students, faculty, staff, visiting scholars and alumni. All submitted entries must have been taken outside the United States. The deadline is October 8 at 12 p.m.

During your time in college, you may face new situations in which you are not quite sure what to do. Global Engagement's VILLAGE is available as a resource to students. Global Engagement Night

Global Engagement Night invites international and domestic students to participate in cross-cultural discussions about different regions of the world and share their thoughts on topics affecting all college students. Global Engagement Night takes place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building. The next Global Engagement Night will be on September 11, where we will discuss breaking stereotypes. Snacks will be provided!

Global Engagement Film Series: Montparnasse Bienvenue

The next film will be French drama, Montparnasse Bienvenue, and it will be shown on Wednesday, September 26 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center. Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because the first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda! Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public. Contact Renée Bishai with questions.

Join The English Conversation Program

International and American students have the opportunity to expand their worldviews, improve their intercultural communication skills and make friends from different cultural backgrounds. Students will be put in groups of five or six based on their availability and diversity of background to meet throughout the semester for the purpose of having great conversations and experiences.

Taste of OSU Planning Begins Soon

Planning for Taste of OSU 2019, which will take place February 15, 2019, will soon be underway. Every year, the planning committee invites international and cultural student organizations to apply using the contact information listed under the Student Activities database. Please update your organization's contact information as soon as possible in order to receive notifications and reminders from the Office of International Affairs.

Phishing Awareness

A large-volume phishing attempt is targeting students. It can be identified by three key features: it appears as a reply to message, the body does not contain a greeting or signature and clicking the link directs you to an unrecognized site. If you believe youve been sent this or any other phishing message, dont click any links! Please forward it directly to [email protected]. If your email or computer begins behaving strangely, contact the IT Service Desk at 614-688-4357 or stop in one of the BuckeyeBar locations in Thompson Library and Tech Hub.

Student-Alumni Council Application

Join the Student-Alumni Council, a student organization highly committed to continually serving as the connection between students, alumni and others. The deadline to apply is September 28.

Hot Pot and Hot Topics

The English Conversation Program (ECP) and the Cultural Ambassadors for Resident Enrichment (CARE) have partnered up to offer Hot Pot and Hot Topic. All are welcome to eat hot pot, discuss some hot topics and make new friends. The events are free and will take place of September 19, October 3, 17 and 31 and November 14, from 6 8 p.m. in the Morrill Tower Kitchen. Space is limited.
