International Women in Engineering Day

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is celebrated annually on June 23rd to honor the outstanding achievements of women engineers and to encourage more girls and women to pursue careers in engineering. The day highlights the contributions of women to the engineering field and promotes gender diversity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The theme this year is Together We Engineer. 

How to Get Involved

There are several ways to participate in INWED:

  • Host Events: Organize webinars, panel discussions, and workshops that showcase the contributions of women engineers and provide networking opportunities.
  • Share Stories: Use social media to share stories and profiles of women engineers who have made significant contributions to the field.
  • Mentorship Programs: Establish or participate in mentorship programs that support young women and girls interested in engineering careers.
  • Educational Activities: Engage in activities that promote engineering to girls and young women, such as school visits, coding workshops, and STEM clubs.
  • Advocate for Diversity: Promote policies and practices that encourage gender diversity and inclusion in engineering workplaces.

Women and Girls in STEM Forum 2025

STEM Women

STEM Women hosts regular careers events for STEM students and recent graduates who identify as women or non-binary and are looking to start their careers in a STEM industry. During these events, attendees have the opportunity to network with top employers, apply to job opportunities, listen to inspirational presentations, and ask questions during insightful panel sessions. European Women in Technology

This tech event on June 25-26, 2025, in Amsterdam will unite 4,000+ women in tech, diversity advocates, allies, and change makers. The 2025 theme is "Leading the Digital Revolution." Participants will learn how to survive the AI-driven Industrial Revolution armed with a strategic awareness of disruptive technology and a plan to build and retain talent and skills to develop it. Global Conference on Women's Studies

This women’s studies conference will zoom in on pressing challenges in the field and the barriers that communities face on a global, regional, and local levels in their fight for gender equality. WOMENSCONF 2025 will take place in the lively city of Copenhagen, Denmark, on July 25– 27, 2025. Women in STEM Awards 2025

The 2025 Women in STEM Awards will celebrate women who have achieved success in the fields of science, engineering, mathematics, and technology in Dublin, Ireland, on October 23, 2025. The event will honor organizations that foster inclusive workplaces, empowering women to thrive.
