After a small group of students from the School of Nursing & Health Studies embedded themselves in Chiapas, Mexico to research Chagas disease, the experience left lasting impacts about the trajectory of their future plans.
On May 28, more than 2,000 alumni from the Class of 2020 returned to the Hilltop to celebrate their Commencement — an event two years in the making after the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted their in-person graduation.
Listen as Sara Rotenberg (NHS’20) delivers the speech she began writing in 2020 -- one she described as being "all the more fitting" following delayed graduation. “Let’s hope the worst is behind us, but for whatever lies ahead, we are ready.”
Global health leader Amb. Mark Dybul, MD, (C'85, M'92), returned to the Hilltop to share his thoughts on moving beyond the pandemic. "We can ask in everything we do, are we contributing to a better world, a more just world, or are we drawing more hope out of it?" 
Meet three Hoyas who are making a difference around the world since their 2020 graduation, including an NHS alum who has been advocating for better health care for people with disabilities.

As of May 31, One Medical’s COVID-19 testing at the Leavey Center will change hours for the summer: 
Monday: 7:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.,

Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.,
1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.
