UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​See the world through the experiences of fellow Aggies! The annual UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest celebrates the places, people and moments students encounter through global learning. Returning students can submit favorite photos from their experiences for a chance to win gift cards ranging from $25 to $200. New to UC Davis? Global Leadership, Internships and Research


APRU Food Security and Agritech Conference 2026

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 5–7, Vancouver, Canada. Conference registration and student poster competition submissions are open. With the theme of Towards Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Food Futures, this conference is designed as an open and collaborative space for exploratory dialogue on the future of agritech and food systems. Register for the conference and compete in the student poster competition. Deadline: September 6.

 

Feed-Protect-Care for Sustainable Futures Global Collaborative Ph.D. Platform

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Early-career doctoral students (e.g., second-year Ph.D. students) conducting research on how the policy-health interface can improve the sustainability of food systems are invited to apply for the platform's third cohort. Selected participants receive funding to support networking, virtual research partnership activities and participation in two international field schools. Learn more and apply to this program. GloCal Health Fellowship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The GloCal Health Fellowship is a 12-month mentored research program for researchers studying diseases and health conditions in developing countries. Fellows receive training, mentorship and financial support to complete a research project. Apply now for the 2027–28 cohort. Deadline: September 15.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This program offers annual awards for U.S. citizens who are graduating seniors, current graduate students or alumni to conduct research, study or teach English in more than 140 countries. Campus deadline: September 3. Campus interviews: September 1018.


Fulbright-Nehru Student Research Fellowships

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​These nine-month fellowships offer research opportunities in India for recent graduates and graduate students pursuing master’s or Ph.D. degrees. Campus deadline: September 3. National deadline: October 6.


Luce Scholars Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Luce Scholars Program provides leadership training, language instruction, stipends and individualized professional placements across Asia for 18 scholars each year. Designed as an experiential program rather than an academic one, it is intended for emerging leaders, not those seeking research funding. Apply to the Luce Scholars Program. Deadline: September 8.


Luce/ACLS Travel Grants in China Studies

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Ph.D. students in the humanities and interpretive social sciences can apply for a $5,000 travel grant to support research on the cultures, histories and societies of China and their influence on communities around the world. Deadline: November 5.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​August 18, 4 p.m., virtual. As a UC Davis student, you have free access to GoinGlobal, a career platform with job search tools and resources for opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. Join this live training session to learn how to make the most of the platform. Register using your UC Davis email address.


CAN We Chill? Summer Workshop Series

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​August 19 and September 2, 10–11:30 a.m. Join the Community Advising Network (CAN) team for the last two workshops of the summer: Sound Play and Guided Meditation at the Nest and Karaoke and Singalong at MENASA Resource Center. These events are designed to help students recharge, connect with others, explore creative self-expression and practice stress-management skills.


UC Davis Global Learning Fair

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 8, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., ARC Recreation Center. Hosted by the Global Learning Hub, the fair features global leadership opportunities, study abroad programs, global internships, postgraduate opportunities, funding resources and more! Come learn about the variety of global experiences and funding resources available to you. Express interest in the fair.
