Save the Date: UC Davis Global Learning Fair

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Mark your calendar for the UC Davis Global Learning Fair on October 8, 2026, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. in the ARC Ballroom A&B. Explore study abroad, internships and research, global skills and leadership, community engagement, funding opportunities and more. Meet advisors, connect with students who have participated in global programs and discover ways to build global learning into your UC Davis experience.

U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​These free two-week virtual internships connect UC Davis students with peers worldwide to tackle real global challenges related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Spaces are filled on a first-completed basis. The next sessions run from November through February. Join an upcoming info session on October 19. Apply to this internship program. Deadline: November 1.

Technical University of Munich Practical Research Experience (TUM PREP)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​July 1–August 26, 2027. UC Davis students are eligible to apply for the free TUM PREP program. Students may apply for up to three of 70 research projects and receive support through orientation, field trips and the TUM Buddies program. Apply to this program. Deadline: November 15.

Competitions, Challenges and Funding

DAAD Heilbronn AI Fellowship Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​New funding opportunities are available for Ph.D. candidates and postdoctoral researchers working in AI. Fellows join a collaborative AI ecosystem combining academic research, industry partnerships, digital infrastructure and opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and should be submitted at least four months before the fellowship start date.

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This merit-based fellowship supports 30 New Americans who are immigrants or children of immigrants and pursuing graduate education in the United States. Fellows receive up to $90,000 over two years and are selected for their potential to make significant contributions to society, culture or their academic field. Deadline: October 29.

DAAD University Summer Course Grants

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Apply for a scholarship to participate in a three- to four-week summer course in Germany in 2027. Funding supports language and cultural studies courses as well as technical language courses and includes course costs, accommodation and a travel allowance. Deadline: October 30.

Nanyang Technological University Singapore AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This fellowship supports early-career researchers applying artificial intelligence to accelerate scientific discovery across STEM fields. Fellows receive up to four years of funding. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a STEM field. Register for the info session on October 1. Apply to this fellowship program. Deadline: October 30.

GoinGlobal Student Training

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​September 22, 1–2 p.m., virtual. As a UC Davis student, you have free access to GoinGlobal, a career platform with job search tools and resources for opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. Join this live training session to learn how to make the most of the platform. Register using your UC Davis email address.

UC Davis Global Learning Fair

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 8, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., ARC Recreation Center. Hosted by the Global Learning Hub, the fair features global leadership opportunities, study abroad programs, global internships, postgraduate opportunities, funding resources and more! Come learn about the variety of global experiences and funding resources available to you. Express interest in the fair.

Exploring Global Leadership Programs

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 15, 12–1 p.m., virtual. Curious about how to grow as a global leader? This information session introduces opportunities to strengthen leadership skills, engage across cultures and reflect on your values and goals while preparing for a meaningful global career. Engaging with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Program Opportunities with Global Affairs

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 22, 12–1 p.m., virtual. Learn about the SDGs and ways UC Davis students can get involved. This session provides an overview of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and highlights related programs and opportunities at UC Davis. Register for the info session.
