UC Davis Global Learning Fair

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 9, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., ARC Ballrooms A&B—UC Davis Campus. Join us at the UC Davis Global Learning Fair to learn about the variety of global opportunities and funding resources available to you. The fair features global leadership opportunities, study abroad programs, global internships, post-graduate global opportunities, funding opportunities and more! UC Davis Summer & Quarter Abroad 2026—Get Started

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Our 2026 study abroad program line-up is now available! Explore our summer and fall quarter programs; create a Global Learning Profile to receive announcements for programs that interest you; attend info sessions this fall; learn about enrollment and tips for choosing a program; or meet with an advisor in the Global Learning Hub!

 

Program Spotlight: Agriculture and the Environment in Colombia (NEW)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Earn eight units in four weeks and explore how agriculture can help address real-world challenges such as climate change, food security and sustainability. Based at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT in Cali/Palmira, Colombia, this program invites students to dive into the science and culture of agriculture in one of the world’s most important research hubs.


University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) programs provide UC credit and financial aid applies. Available program options include immersion experiences, special focus areas, language and culture studies, and internships. Applications for the 2025-26 academic year open in November. UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The annual UC Davis Global Learning Photo Contest (formerly called the 'UC Davis Study Abroad Photo Contest') aims to recognize and celebrate student photography taking place on the many global learning programs offered throughout the year. Top prizes (for all winners and finalists): gift cards ranging from $25-$200. Full details. Deadline: September 30.

First-Year Global Learning Seminars: Fall Registration Open

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Join a globally focused First-Year Seminar for 1 or 2 units. Search for seminars marked with a "G" to indicate global learning. Examples include: Connecting the Local and the GlobalThe UN Sustainable Development Goals in Action; Find Your Passion in LifeLearning About Sustainability in a Global Context; Medicinal Plants Around the World, and more.


Join a First Year Aggie Connection – Fall Registration Open

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Connections are fun experiences where you can make new friends and explore interesting topics. Examples include: The Language of Food; Global PathfindersCharting a Path to Global Learning; Culture ClashNavigating Academics, Family and Wellness; and Introduction to Middle East/South Asian Studies.

 

Global Affairs United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Internship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This internship provides an opportunity for UC Davis undergraduate students to actively contribute to campus engagement on the SDGs, gaining knowledge of organizational strategy, campus and external coordination and communications and analytical skills to support this global agenda. Deadline: September 12.

 

Global Affairs Pal Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Pal Program pairs up UC Davis undergraduate students for intercultural conversation experiences. Participants can use weekly one-hour sessions to increase their intercultural awareness, practice a target language and develop friendships. Fall quarter registration now open.


The Fulbright Canada-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This summer research internship places U.S. undergraduates in Canadian universities for 10–12 weeks of faculty-supervised research. Students gain hands-on experience, professional development and cultural immersion across diverse academic fields—supported by Fulbright Canada and Mitacs funding. Apply now. University of Lausanne (UNIL) Summer Undergraduate Research (SUR) Programme

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​UNIL’s SUR Programme offers third-year biology and medicine students an immersive eight-week research experience in Lausanne, Switzerland, combining lab work, academic seminars and cultural exchange to inspire future careers in science. Housing is provided, along with a living expenses scholarship and opportunities for travel reimbursement. Apply now. Deadline: January 31, 2026.


Max Planck School Matter to Life Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Matter to Life Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program is a funded 10-week research internship for undergraduates under the supervision of a faculty fellow. Projects are available in multiple German cities in various STEM fields. Travel, accommodation and living allowance provided. Join an info session on September 16. Apply now. Deadline: October 1.

Cultural Survival’s Indigenous Youth Fellowship

Cultural Survival’s 2026 Indigenous Youth Fellowship empowers Indigenous youth (ages 18–28) to lead creative, community-driven projects that benefit Indigenous communities, along with opportunities for leadership development. Fellows receive up to $5,000, mentorship and global visibility. Apply. Deadline: September 30.

 

Gilman International Scholarship Program – Applications Now Open

The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $5,000 for Federal Pell Grant recipients to participate in study and internship abroad programs. Applications are open for programs that start between December 1, 2025 and October 31, 2026. Join an upcoming info session and essay review session. Deadline: October 3.

 

Lafayette Fellowship Program: One Year of Master’s Study in France

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Lafayette Fellowship, created by the French Embassy in the U.S., celebrates Franco-American friendship by offering one year of fully funded master’s study at leading French universities across eight cities. Alongside their academic coursework, fellows will participate in an immersive leadership development program and receive mentorship. Apply. Deadline: November 30.

 

Blakemore Freeman Fellowships

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Applications are now open for this fellowship, which provides a stipend for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters) of advanced-level language study in East or Southeast Asia. By the start of the grant, applicants should have received a bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three years of language study. Deadline: December 30.

 

Siddall Sheffield Scholarship

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The University of Sheffield’s Siddall Sheffield Scholarship offers full tuition and a £18,000 (approx. $23,000) stipend for a one-year engineering master’s. Open to talented U.S. students across a range of disciplines—from aerospace to computer science. Apply now. Deadline: January 13.

Global Student Leadership Summit

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​October 29–31. Registration for the Global Student Leadership Summit (GSLS), held in Minneapolis, MN, is now open. GSLS is a student conference that prepares participants with the skills essential to being a successful leader in our global interconnected society. Apply now for a scholarship to cover the registration costs.
