IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD?

By Joshua Essy, Field Directors to Papua New Guinea

Our Field Director of Open Bible Churches of Papua New Guinea recently shared the inspiring testimony of a young man named Max Owa.

Max began using drugs and alcohol at just 15 years old. He engaged in stealing food from gardens, breaking into houses, and stealing money and valuables. He was deeply involved in cult practices, utilizing demonic powers to commit crimes such as robberies, rape, and murder innocent lives. In tribal conflicts, he took the lives of six people and nearly shot one of our pastors last year.

In early July of this year, we conducted an evangelistic outreach in Max’s village, located three kilometers away from OBC headquarters in Ivingoi. Two weeks prior to the event, Max fell seriously ill and was on the brink of death. His family called our pastor to their home. After confessing his sins, the pastor prayed for Max’s healing. Miraculously, the next day, Max awoke completely healed. Praise God! During the outreach, Max surrendered his life to the Lord and was baptized at the end of the week, along with 23 others. We praise the Lord for wonderful outcome and give Him all the glory.

Max is now attending Bible School and has transformed into a new man, for which his wife and two children are grateful. He shares his testimonies at local church gatherings and aspires to follow the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, formerly Saul. Max has changed his name to Paul and after completing Bible School, he plans to preach the Gospel and lead souls to Jesus Christ.

In Jeremiah 32:27, it is written, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” God can change the most hardened hearts and save those whom any believe are beyond hope or reach.

Please keep Paul and Dianne Owa in your prayers as they walk with the Lord and pray for their basic needs and Bible School fees for the upcoming year. We give all the glory to God Almighty for His continuous work of wonders.
